Whiskey’s for drinking, water’s for fighting

A recent letter to the editor in the Colorado Spring’s Gazette revealed an interesting detail about Colorado 5th Congressional district candidate Bentley Rayburn’s campaign manager Mike Hesse. The letter writer points out that as Chief of Staff for Congressman Scott McGinnis, Mike Hess bragged about how he worked hard to kill legislation that would allow a thirsty Colorado Springs to store its water in the Pueblo Reservoir. If the winter snow pack is low this year and the Colorado Springs Utilities resort to rationing, this little known fact might greatly affect Bentley Rayburn’s ability to secure key political and financial support in the 5th Congressional district.
